LA2-RC1-HOC HEPA Air Purifier
The LA2-RC1-HOC draws dirty air from your business through a 6-inch true HEPA filter using a 600 CFM blower. The HEPA filter will remove 99.97% of airborne contaminants. This filter is strong and will last a long time.
The air is then drawn through a 5-chamber activated carbon filter, which removes odors and VOCs. About 5 pounds of activated carbon are contained in the carbon filter. The filter is typically filled with coconut shell carbon, which is highly effective at removing common odors and VOCs produced by manufacturing processes.
The Filtration Process:
The LA2-RC1-HOC uses a powerful centrifugal blower to draw air through two filter screens. These filters help purify the air of heavy contaminants. Afterward, the air is passed through a 4.5″ True HEPA filter and a 5-chamber carbon filter. The HEPA filter removes up to 99.97% of dust, pollen, mold, bacteria, and any airborne particles with a size of 0.3 microns The 5-chamber design allow for more time for VOCs to interact with the granular activated carbon. Contact time is an important factor in more thorough air stream decontamination.
The carbon filter uses activated carbons made from coconut shells which are the least dusty. They are excellent for organic chemical adsorption because they are primarily microporous. Activated carbon made from coconut shells has the highest hardness of any other type of activated carbon, which makes it the best carbon for purifying the air.
Powerful Centrifugal Blowers:
A centrifugal blower is an air-moving device that employs an impeller to draw air into a tube-like structure and then release it at a 90-degree angle. A centrifugal blower draws air, fluid, gas, or particulate matter into the inlet. The blower’s blades rotate to discharge the air through the outlet. This airflow pattern is very different from that of a traditional fan or blower, where the airflow is parallel to the fan’s axis.
There are several benefits of employing this technology in an air purifier. The most notable feature of centrifugal blowers is their low cost of maintenance. When using other methods of air circulation, it is critical to inspect for dust and dirt buildup regularly. With industrial centrifugal blowers, this is not necessary. All that is required is a small vacuum to clean the motor and vents.
Moreover, many modern manufacturing processes necessitate the use of equipment that can withstand hazardous and harsh operating conditions. Centrifugal blowers and fans are built to withstand corrosive, toxic, high temperature, and high humidity environments.
Various Mounting Options and a Speed Controller:
The LA2-RC1 can be mounted in a variety of ways. The unit is suspended from the ceiling by four eye bolts. With the optional wall mount kit, you can hang this unit from a wall or post in your facility. The LA2-RC1-HOC is equipped with four rubber feet that can be removed to reveal (1/4-20) inserts for mounting to a utility cart.
The unit also has a variable speed controller. This allows you to adjust the volume from 55 to 68 decibels (A). The CFM of the machine increases as the sound level increases. HEPA air cleaning can achieve 100-600 CFM.
